CEVA 100 DETAIL DRAWING
SPECIFICATION

The CEVA 100 System combines one of CCP's closed cell foam products, including Phyzite 380, Phyzite, Metazeal or Metazeal AJ, with the applicable Eva-Pox Bonding Agent to create a 100% watertight joint seal between concrete substrate headers. This system can be installed anywhere a watertight seal is required: within vertical or horizontal expansion joints in buildings, plazas, parking decks/ramps, bridges, highways, tunnels, water treatment plants, stadiums, etc. The CEVA 100 System also functions as a water-stop in applications were hydrostatic pressure is present (i.e. pools, fountains, dams, etc.).

SPECIFICATION
The CEVA 250 System utilizes one of CCP's closed cell foam products, including Phyzite 380, Phyzite, Metazeal or Metazeal AJ, with the applicable Eva-Pox Bonding Agent and our E-Crete #57 or Pro-Crete NH elastomeric concrete. The CEVA 250 System is our most popular and versatile system. The ability to install the system with little to no modifications to the exisiting structure makes it ideal for new or rehabilitation projects on bridges, parking decks/garages, stadiums, etc. Our elastomeric concrete performs as an energy absorbing header (nosing), replacing traditional steel nosing at a fraction of the cost and the added benefit of easy repairs.

SPECIFICATION
The CEVA 250 System utilizes one of CCP's closed cell foam products, including Phyzite 380, Phyzite, Metazeal or Metazeal AJ, with the applicable Eva-Pox® Bonding Agent (either our E-Crete #57 or Pro-Crete NH elastomeric concrete) and steel nosing to create the most robust of our joint systems. Our elastomeric concretes perform as an energy-absorbing header (nosing). They are available in gray or black and are designed to eliminate edge spalls while offering excellent adhesion to concrete, steel and asphalt substrates. The CEVA 300 System is a "belts and suspenders" system intended for abusive conditions found on many major highways, bridges, and tunnels.  
PHYZITE SEAL REPAIR DETAIL DRAWING The Phyzite replacement of strip seals makes work fast and easy with a simple Epoxy Paste #22 solution with a Phyzite seal slipped and locked into place with Bonder #1. The Phyzite strip seal replacement system is a long term solution that eliminated replacement of the steel ears that hold the strip seal in place.

Phyzite closed cell pre-formed expansion joint material is utilized in similar applications as Phyzite 380. The material works in 25% tension, 50% compression and 50% +/- in shear but offers increased elongation, tensile and tear strengths for those applications demanding higher performance values. Like Phyzite 380, Phyzite also utilizes a Hindered Amine Light Stabilizer for increased performance where long term exposure to U.V. light is required. Typical applications include commercial buildings and arroyos.  
 
Phyzite 380 with HALS (Evazote 380 Replacement)

Phyzite 380 is a closed cell pre-formed expansion joint seal that is capable of moving in 25% tension, 50% compression and 50% +/- in shear. The material is commonly used as a water stop due to its ability to handle large amounts of hydrostatic pressure once installed. Phyzite 380 has a Hindered Amine Light Stabilizers added for improved resistance to Ultra Violet light. The material is commonly utilized in our Ceva line of expansion joint systems. Typical expansion joint applications for the material include bridges, water treatment facilities, parking garages, commercial buildings, industrial facilities, dams, and other structures that experience thermal or seismic movement. Due to its chemical resistance, additional applications include the use of the product in industrial environments were a 100% water tight gasket is required.  
 
Metazeal

MetaZeal is a closed cell pre-formed expansion joint seal that is resistant to abrasion, most chemicals and weather. The material is capable of moving in 25% tension and 50% compression. Typical applications for Metazeal include arroyos, parking garages, commercial buildings & bridge joints. The material is recommended for use in applications subject to sustained temperatures over 150 F or higher heat.  
   
Evazote 50

Evazote 50 is a resilient, non-extrudable material designed for the construction and maintenance of concrete structures, pavements, and bridges and may be adapted to any waterstop design. This weather and wear resistant product is an impermeable closed-cell, cross-linked, ethylene vinyl acetate, low-density polyethylene copolymer, nitrogen blown foam material that is gray in color. Being both closed cellular and elastic, it can operate within the range of 50% compression and 25% tension. The Joint Material is unaffected by road salts and petroleum products, such as gasoline, oil and grease. It’s elasticity will reject stones and similar objects typically absorbed by conventional jointing materials.

 
 
Ceva Terra Strip  




CEVA® TERRASTRIP is an inert, preformed, closed cell, polypropylene joint filler used as a cast-in-place form with a top strip that pulls out after the poured in place concrete has set. After removing the tear-away strip, which is sized according to specifications on plans, a caulk joint, control joint or expansion joint can be installed. It is ideal for use as an expansion joint form when installing the Evazote 380® E.S.P. product in the formed opening.

 
 
Ceva Finger Joint  
  The CEVA® FINGER JOINT System combines Evazote 380® E.S.P. W/H.A.L.S. as the joint seal, bonded in place with Eva-Pox® Bonder between two steel plates. This system can be installed anywhere excessive amounts of movement are anticipated and a watertight seal is required. Steel “fingers” are mounted above and below the joint seal. (Joint material installation can occur in the field or in our fabrication facility). By utilizing Evazote 380® E.S.P. W/H.A.L.S. over the conventional rubber trough, debris is no longer able to accumulate in the expansion joint. This eliminates one of the modes of failure of a traditional finger joint. Finger Joints can be designed for upwards of twenty-five (25) inches of movement.

DEERY FlexAble Bridge Joint System™ (FBJS) is a unique blend of modified asphaltic binders, select aggregates and other modifiers pre-measured and combined to create an All•In•One•Box asphaltic bridge joint system which eliminates the chaos and guesswork associated with field mixing. The factory-blended material is heated and dispensed directly into the joint block-out where it is leveled and allowed to cool. Compaction is not required. The smooth surface of the installed system reduces stress on the structure, is plowable, maintainable and is highly resistant to water intrusion and to a wide range of salts.

 
 
Z-Tech Series 1000 Expansion Joints

Series 1000 expansion joints from Z-Tech have been dependable and efficient in hundreds of installations since 1982. These joints are developed for applications such as bridges, overpasses, parking garages, and ramps. Z-Tech Industries Series 1000 strips seals can accommodate movements of up to 125mm (5"). These joints are custom fabricated for each project, manufactured under extremely close finished tolerances using continuous forming processes. Steel profiles are rolled to exact measurements of the high quality neoprene seals to ensure a watertight lock. Z-Tech joints have been developed with the assistance of Canada's National Research Council to stand up to extremely high wheel load conditions.  
 
Z-Tech Series 2000 Expansion Joints

Z-Tech's Series 2000 modular expansion joints are constructed to handle common joint widths exceeding 100mm. The series 2000 joints are comprised of Series 1000 joints placed as parallel cells supported by transverse bars positioned at regular intervals along the joint. Series 2000 modular joints can accommodate movements of up to 300mm at a maximum opening of 475mm. The modular construction of these joints using the Series 1000 joints keeps them simple, reliable, and efficient.  
 
Z-Tech Series 3000 Aluminum Expansion Joints

Z-Tech's Series 3000 joints are comprised of aluminum extrusions using a 6061-T6 structural grade alloy. They are designed to support cars, trucks, forklifts and pedestrian traffic with the addition of a cover plate. Series 3000 joints can be configured to suit a variety of applications including "L", "T", and "X" direction changes.

Z-Tech Industries and it's alliance with D.S. Brown Co. allow Canadian Construction Products to supply the industry with some of the best quality control, service, and custom manufacturing to meet the customer's needs. Delastic E and V series preformed neoprene seals are the primary sealing system for concrete pavement slabs in major concrete roads, airport aprons and runways. CV and H Series are available for common accommodation of movement of a structure, thermal and other. They are also capable of accepting lateral shear, vertical shear, and rotational movement. Special extrusions, the CS (pedestrian flat top compression seal), the AF and AW similar to the CS but with a greater movement range and the K series, a low height versatile low stress seal.  
 
Z-Tech Qualiflex Bearing Pads

Qualiflex elastomeric bearing pads have saturated the market since 1980 and established Z-Tech as a recognized leader in quality and innovation. These bearings serve a wide variety of applications from bridges to viaducts, buildings, and parkades. They are designed to allow structural movements while isolating impact and vibrations. Qualiflex elastomeric bearing pads can be manufactured by individual mould, or cut from sheet stock, to laminated pads that are integrally moulded with reinforced with steel shim plates.

Sliding bearings are generally used where larger structural movements are anticipated, or when it is preferable for horizontal movements to be accommodated with minimal stress transmitted to the structure. Sliding bearings consist of a Qualiflex laminated base pad with a top sliding surface of P.T.F.E. covered by a type 304 polished stainless steel surface fixed to the underside of a top steel plate.

Z-tech Industries pot bearings have proven themselves in the market for over 20 years. Z-Tech pot bearings are custom manufactured for project specific applications often including multi-directional units, guided units, and fixed units. These pot bearings are designed and manufactured to meet National and Regional Codes and Standards such as Canadian S6-00, AASHTO, and AASHTO LRFD standards, BS-5400 etc.

E-Crete No. 57 is supplied in kit form as a 100% solids, self leveling, three component, modified elastomeric compound developed for use with specially blended aggregates to repair potholes, bridge decks, driveways, parking decks, etc. E-Crete No. 57 is primarily used as a header material in the Ceva® Expansion Joint Systems. E-Crete has the unique ability to absorb energy from impact loads and disperse this energy throughout the header material, reducing cracking and spalling. It has excellent adhesion to asphalt, concrete, and steel surfaces. Provides excellent resistance to moisture and abrasion, along with very good solvent, chemical, ultra-violet and oxidation resistance.
